If HTML Tidy is on your speed dial, this article shows how you can create a custom Tidy configuration.
HTML-Kit Tools comes with several ready-to-go HTML Tidy configurations. These can be used to beautify HTML, convert HTML to XHTML and of course check for possible errors.
If you’d like to pick and choose Tidy features and options, you can do so by creating a custom Tidy configuration as follows.
- Select "Tools > Tidy > Edit" from the main menu.
- Select one of the existing Tidy configurations that you would like to use as the base for your new config.
- Click "Duplicate" icon.
- Add or remove Tidy options. The documentation has a list of Tidy options. Click "OK" to save changes.
- Open a document and select your new Tidy config from "Tools > Tidy" menu. HTML-Kit Tools will remember your selection until you change it again.
Thank you for such a prompt and informative reply. This was exactly what I was trying to achieve. Best regards Tom
