Alt+W brings up "Open Documents" window. It provides another way to select currently open documents. The list is categorized into file extensions. Each document is listed with the file name first, followed by the file path, for improved readability. Also accessible through the "View > Window > Open Documents Window" main menu option.
A list of Recently Closed Files is displayed in the Open Documents window for quickly reopening local files. The recently closed files list is remembered between sessions.
Open Documents window appears if 5 or more files are open. "Preferences > Files > Misc > Show Open Documents Window if the number of open files is" option for setting when to trigger the Open Documents window.
A new icon with various drop-down options for inserting definition list tags DL/DT/DD on the HTML tab.
Accelerator characters added to dialogs with multiple tabs for quickly switching tabs using Tab+AccelChar. When switching tabs, focuses the first field and remembers the last selected field.
Editor right click opens up a docked window with text actions such as Uppercase and Convert to Unordered List. Once the docked window is opened, text actions can be more easily accessed without having to browse to TextActions sub menu on the right click menu.
"Preferences > Advanced > Show editor context menu options on a docked window" option for controlling whether the Text Actions window is automatically displayed or not.
Options on "Editor right click > Text Actions" menu for opening Text Actions in a dialog or a docked window.

Reopens docked windows that were open in the last session. Reopens utility windows, plugin windows and other similar windows.
Preferences dialog setting: "Reopen windows" option under "Edit > Preferences > General > Startup" for controlling whether docked windows reopen on startup or not.
Colorizer for Apache-style config files ("View > Colorizer Style > Config").
"Kit > Backup" for backing up preferences, templates, snippets, projects, plugins and other data files.
Reminder on the status bar for backing up data files, approximately every 30 days.
"Kit > Portable Installation" and "Kit > Backup" displayes the required amount of disk space.
Better support for displays with large fonts / higher DPIs.

Starting with HTML-Kit Tools 20100115, Tools supports Windows 7 style dialogs for opening and saving files.

Windows 7-style open and save dialogs, which appear when running HTML-Kit Tools on Windows 7, makes it easier to access Libraries, Favorites, Search and custom Layouts.

Previewing SVG in HTML-Kit

This article describes how to preview Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) in HTML-Kit Tools and HTML-Kit 292.

To get started with editing and previewing SVG, install the Adobe SVG Viewer. You can verify the installation by testing this page or one of these pages in Internet Explorer.

Previewing SVG in HTML-Kit Tools

Simply open a *.svg file in HTML-Kit Tools and click Preview as usual. When you’re editing stand-alone or external SVG files (example) make sure that the file is saved with the .svg file extension.

Previewing SVG in HTML-Kit 292

Getting HTML-Kit 292 ready for SVG development takes a few more steps but once configured you can preview SVG files as easily as clicking the Preview tab or pressing F12.

Download hkPreviewSVG plugin and install it using "Tools | Install | Install Plugin" menu option. It’s not necessary to unzip the downloaded file. Restart HTML-Kit 292.
In HTML-Kit 292, select "Edit | Preferences" from the main menu and change to the "Preview" tab.
Click "Edit Preview Rules." Below the "File extension mappings" section, click "Add." Enter "svg" (without quotes) in the "File extensions" field. Click "Plugin" and pick "hkPreviewSVG." Save changes by clicking "OK" on all open dialogs.

From this point on you can preview *.svg files by opening them in HTML-Kit 292, and clicking the Preview tab or pressing F12.
