- Options for converting special characters to HTML entities. "Convert special characters" option converts all special characters with HTML entities except HTML markup characters. When the "Escape markup characters" option is checked, also converts < > & " ' characters. "Edit > Paste Plus > Convert special characters to HTML entities" can be used to make the conversion while pasting text. "Actions Bar > Ch-1 > Tools > TextTools" drop-down can be used to convert the selected text. "Paste Plus" and "TextTools" options on the editor context menu also provide quick access to these options.
- Speed improvements related to "Project right click > Batch Actions > Find File Names"
- Ability to monitor progress and cancel out of Find in Files and Find File Names batch actions.
- Automatically selects and scrolls to the first flagged item after Find in Files and Find File Names.
- Search and Replace actions in the editor can be limited to the selected text. If some text is selected before invoking a replace action, a prompt is displayed to determine whether to use only the selected text. This prompt can be disabled under "Edit > Preferences > General" so that replace actions always limit to the selected text when there's a selection.
- Button for quickly inserting the selected text into fields in dialogs such as Search and Replace. This button appears when a related dialog with a memo field is invoked while there's some selected text in the current document.
- Incremental Search dialog provides a button for using the selected text when there's a selection.

- Pressing F1 on a keyword or selected text brings up the online references dialog. The same option is available through the editor context menu.
- When reading and writing relatively small files that are stored on the local computer, skips file read/write progress bar to reduce "busy screens."
