I choose a color for each project I start but I've never seen that show up anywhere. Would someone please explain its purpose?

The color you select there will show up on the document tab and at the
bottom of the editor. You'll see this when you open a file from a
project or a folder with a color label.

Thank you. I've never noticed that before but see it now. I suggest an option to make the tabs themselves colored.

I don't know if changing the color of the whole tab would be too much
color though. Plus you'd also have to worry about making sure the text
on it has enough contrast, etc.

There's a hint of the project color on each tab, to the left of the file
          name.
