Hi--If I have multiple documents open and I want to do a 'find and replace' on something that appears on each of these pages (and needs to be changed), is there a feature that can perform this? (i have been using the trial version 20120815). If so, where do i find this feature or info on how to do this properly?

    Please help.

      Hi,

By listing these files in a project, you can search and replace in them
using batch replace option. One of the advantages of doing this is that
you can even replace in files on remote/FTP servers.

To create a project, select "File > Projects > New" from the main menu,
enter a project name and click OK. Then use "Add local/remote folder"
options to add folders to the project. Or, if your files are scattered
in multiple folders you can include files from many folders into a
single virtual folder using "List files" option.

Now you can right click a folder or click the search icon at the top to
      start search & replace.

Hope this helps. Feel free to post again if any other questions come up.

Thank you! That worked! I am still getting used to this program.

I thought it worked but it didn't...

I set up a 'project' with all the web files in it. I did the 'find & Replace' with all the documents open (i like to preview each one to see that the change took effect)...but somehow it didn;t work and the program keeps crashing/shutting down...

No, that's not normal. Please try restarting the system and let me know
if you continue to have any problems: htmlkit.com/contact/

As for running batch replace in a project, you currently do need to
close those files and reopen after batch replace. Only Ctrl+H replaces
show up in real time in the current document.
