Suddenly Missing Keyboard Shortcut for Ctrl+P

    Chami,
Using the latest treehouse, DM 14 20150601, Windows 10.

Computer decided to update something, I guess in the system, and
restart. Tools was open at the time.

Restarted Tools and everything appeared as usual. Then I went to invoke
Ctrl+P, Ctrl+B. Nothing happened. Went to Help > Keyboard Shortcuts >
Ctrl+P and there is only one listed, Ctrl+P,Ctrl+P.

How do I get these shortcuts back. The others K, Q and T look complete.

I have Tools on another computer if I need to copy and paste a file from it.

      Hey Charles,

I'm running TreeHouse build 20150829 on Windows 10 build 10240 and
Ctrl+P works for me. Tools build 20150601 you're using is fine.

On the other hand, I know that 10240 is old in Win10 years :) so let me
update to the latest and report back. In the mean time, maybe try
reopening Tools and I'd make sure Ctrl+P isn't being captured by another
      program.

        Chami,

Thanks for the reply. Now I am beginning to think that I must be
dreaming. I am really sure what I was doing. As I remembered, pressing
Ctrl+P,Ctrl+B would wrap selected text in the strong tag. Going to the
'old' laptop that is has been replaced with the Windows 10 laptop, that
keyboard shortcut is not there. Neither does it exist on my desktop.
Also, stuck in my mind is that I also saw a list of other shortcuts to
be used following the Ctrl+P, similar as for Ctrl+K, Q and T. Am I
going crazy or is this just a bad dream that I am sure was working?

Ctrl+P is reserved for Print but I am sure that it was the combination
of Ctrl+P followed (without release of the Ctrl key) Ctrl+B.

        Puzzled to no end.

You're definitely not imagining things :) Inside edit windows, Ctrl+P
should/does bring up those shortcuts. Does anything else happen when you
press it, like a print window pop up?

With the editor open, no, Ctrl+P does not open the print panel. It
opens the "Ctrl+P Based Keyboard Shortcuts" with only the "Ctrl+P - PHP
code block" where a list would normally be. Press again creates the
opening and closing tag for php.

Now that it has been established that I have not gone crazy, I wonder
why this is missing on three instances of installed Tools? Two of which

            it is solved by reinstalling.

If you go to "Tools menu > Context Keys > Edit" does it show hkCSS,

Restarted Tools and everything appeared as usual. Then I went to
                  invoke
Ctrl+P, Ctrl+B. Nothing happened. Went to Help > Keyboard
                  Shortcuts >
Ctrl+P and there is only one listed, Ctrl+P,Ctrl+P.

How do I get these shortcuts back. The others K, Q and T look
                  complete.

I have Tools on another computer if I need to copy and paste a file
                  from
                  it.

                  Charles

                  Hey Charles,

I'm running TreeHouse build 20150829 on Windows 10 build 10240 and
Ctrl+P works for me. Tools build 20150601 you're using is fine.

On the other hand, I know that 10240 is old in Win10 years :) so
                  let me
update to the latest and report back. In the mean time, maybe try
reopening Tools and I'd make sure Ctrl+P isn't being captured by
                  another
                  program.

                  Chami

                  Chami,

Thanks for the reply. Now I am beginning to think that I must be
dreaming. I am really sure what I was doing. As I remembered,
                  pressing
Ctrl+P,Ctrl+B would wrap selected text in the strong tag. Going to
                  the
'old' laptop that is has been replaced with the Windows 10 laptop,
                  that
keyboard shortcut is not there. Neither does it exist on my desktop.
Also, stuck in my mind is that I also saw a list of other shortcuts to
be used following the Ctrl+P, similar as for Ctrl+K, Q and T. Am I
going crazy or is this just a bad dream that I am sure was working? b

Ctrl+P is reserved for Print but I am sure that it was the combination
of Ctrl+P followed (without release of the Ctrl key) Ctrl+B.

                  Puzzled to no end.

                  Charles
                  Charles

You're definitely not imagining things :) Inside edit windows, Ctrl+P
should/does bring up those shortcuts. Does anything else happen when
                  you
press it, like a print window pop up?

                  Chami

With the editor open, no, Ctrl+P does not open the print panel. It
opens the "Ctrl+P Based Keyboard Shortcuts" with only the "Ctrl+P - PHP
code block" where a list would normally be. Press again creates the
opening and closing tag for php.

Now that it has been established that I have not gone crazy, I wonder
why this is missing on three instances of installed Tools? Two of which
have not recently been used. If on only the one computer, I would say
                  it is solved by reinstalling.

                  Charles

If you go to "Tools menu > Context Keys > Edit" does it show hkCSS,
                  hkHTML, hkJS and hkPHP?

                  Yes

It may show other plugins like your own but
those four should be checked by default. And try Ctrl+P in a new
                  document (Ctrl+Shift+N).

                  No difference.

                  Charles

                  Any luck?

                  Chami

Hmm... could you try "Kit menu > Advanced > Clear cache" for me. Only on
                  one of your installations.
