Runtime error

  • Frank, 5th Feb 2012 10:34 am

I'm using HTML-Kit Tools v20111216 and have started to get a runtime
error when I click to preview a page:
    'Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\HTML-Kit\Tools\bin\HKTools.exe

    R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library
incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more
    information.'

Anyone any thoughts on a solution?

      Hi Frank,

      I don't recognize this particular error so I don't think it's coming
directly from HTML-Kit Tools. If you could email me a screenshot of it
though I might have a better guess as to its origin.

I am getting the runtime error as well when I first open the program. It happens when I preview and the load hangs up for a few seconds--really slows me down. After a few attempts the error message goes away but the load hangs and I can do nothing until it clears up. It doesn't happen with every site I am editing. So now I have to preview in FF. A solution would be appreciated.

        Hi,

Do you by any chance have Mozilla/Firefox preview enabled under preferences?

        Regards,

Primary browser mode for internal preview: Internet Explorer compatible

          Hi Chami,

A little more info. The program has developed a problem with Google's +1 code. This is a recent development because it didn't have a problem with it a week ago. I notice it also takes issue with
some js scripts but doesn't hang, just complains. These issues are
only with the preview function. F8 to FF does not cause any problems.

          tx, kat

            Hi Kat,

If you're previewing HTML5-related scripting in the default preview
window, please make sure that your system has IE 9.

Or you can preview in any browser/device using Extended Preview, which
is the monitor icon on the top right hand corner next to "Kit" menu:
