Hi, I'm using google translator! I speak Spanish, and I have a problem that I would like to help solve.

I've searched the forum and I have not found the solution, the problem itself is with accents and special characters in my language, if for example I have in my code a word accented "á" .. when clicking on option to beautify the code, that character becomes "á" ... The truth is that I really like this option, and I would like to use it, but this problem makes me very hard.

I really hope you can help me, thanks in advance, I hope your answer. :)
    Greetings from Venezuela!

      Hi,

Welcome to HTML-Kit forums! Let's hope my answer translates as
beautifully as your question did :)

Setting the following HTML Tidy option should do the trick:

       output-encoding: latin1

In HTML-Kit Tools, this is how you'd do it:

      http://www.html-kit.com/support/tools/tidy-config/

The same option is available in HTML-Kit 292 under "Edit | Preferences |
      Tidy."

Hope this helps. Feel free to post again if you have any other questions.

      Chami

Thanks for responding, I have done those steps as it as in the video, and the problem persists .... Clicking on "Tidy", accents are displayed correctly, but clicking on "Beautify HTML" special characters are changed .

Do not know if I'm doing something wrong, and send the video to me I take just an example to other settings, or if I should follow as it (That's what I did) ... Any suggestions? ... Thanks for responding. :)

The video is just showing how to set HTML Tidy options. Please make sure
that this option is in your custom HTML Tidy config:

           output-encoding: latin1

If it still doesn't work, if you could post the URL to an example page
or if you could email one to me (http://www.htmlkit.com/contact/), I'll
be glad to take a look.

              Hi! That's exactly what I did ... :-/

I have done this picture, I hope will serve to better explain the
              problem :

              http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz20/alexiojeda/ExampleHTML-Kits.jpg

Sorry if my error is due to my ignorance ... But I really like to
know what is and how to fix it!

Oh I see it now :) Thank you for the explanation.

So when you use "Beautify HTML" quick link on the bottom, it's going
              back to default settings.

You can modify your custom Tidy config (MyTidyConfig for example) to do
              beautifying as well:

               indent: 1
               output-encoding: latin1

With this change you can invoke HTML Tidy with your custom config and
click "Copy to Editor" to bring reformatted code back to the editor.

Two clicks instead of one but does this help?

Ok! Thank you! Had not used the option "Copy to Editor"! The result is quite similar! : D

Just one more question ... With the option "Beautify HTML" the spacing (With the Enter key) not removed, instead with Tidy With yes .. Example: http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz20/alexiojeda/Exemple2.jpg?t=1400201480

I would like that is not removed with Tidy Config! Because it looks so much better. Is there any way to do this, with Tidy Config?

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you very much! :D

No inconvenience at all. Does this do the trick?

                   indent: true
                   vertical-space: true

I can see somewhere a list of codes to "Configurations"?

Congratulations for so great software! Greetings from Venezuela!
