In HTML-Kit any error in java script was presented with the file name, function name and line number of the process that threw the error. Now that I have upgraded to Tools, I don't see the same, very helpful, facility.

Is there something I need to turn on? Nothing about it in "Help".

      Hi,

HTML-Kit Tools has better support for this than 292, but of course as
usual it's handicapped by crappy documentation.

There's an option to invoke the "Inspector" when you click the Preview
tab. The Console view will then show JavaScript errors with file names
and line numbers, among other things.

Thank you for your very prompt reply. I had hesitated to upgrade to Tools knowing that I would have to leave an application that works very well for me in most instances. But, now I'm glad I did.
