Inserting the "link" tag for sytlesheets

    Chami,
I have been looking for a quick way to insert the link tag for calling
for a stylesheet inside the head tag. Is it in HK-Tools and I just
can't find it? Ideally, it would provide the text for the link plus
open a panel to select the stylesheet file.

    Help!

      Hi Charles,

If you have containing folders in the project window, you can right
click a stylesheet and select "Insert in Editor > LINK rel..." It'll
then insert the link tag with relative file path.

      Hope this helps!

        Chami,
Thanks for your reply. I think it is time to learn more about
"projects". However, I see the folders and the stylesheet in the
project window and when I right click on the css file, it does a "Quick
Open" and when I go forward from there and select the LINK rel... it
places the link in the stylesheet not the html document.

        How is that prevented?

Hmm... it shouldn't do that. Are you using a relatively "old" TreeHouse
          build
by any chance? Please try general release 20131020 and let me know
          if it does the same.

You can send it to support addy in the User Assistant or
              htmlkit.com/contact/

While the HTML file is open in the editor, right clicking a CSS file in
the project seems to work for me but I'll double check and compare notes
              with the screenshot.

              Thanks Charles.

In case anyone else was following this and experiencing the same thing,
with Chami's outstanding help we narrowed it down to the Quick Look.

After turning off Quick Look it worked as intended. This is done with
"Edit > Preferences > Projects > General > Provide a quick look when
      selecting files"

Unfortunately I'm still not sure why it's working for me without having
to disable Quick Look, and I'm using a plain old two button mouse.

If anyone else would like to test it, this is what we're talking about
        (requires build 20131020 or later)...

Some more info which you should like. Where I was having trouble was on
a laptop. I downloaded and installed the latest on a desktop (was
installed on the laptop earlier) and on the desktop, it works as you
said. No need to turn off the Quick Look.

Why it acted the way it did on the laptop remains a puzzle but I can
          live with it.

Like you I don't see why it'd make a difference. Maybe the touchpad is
