I am using:
HTML-Kit Tools for Windows 20120202
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1), 64-bit/WOW64
IE 9.0.8112.16421, COMCTL32 6.16, SHELL32 6.1.7600.25177, 50727
1,399,504 KB out of 4,194,304 KB of physical memory available.
.NET Framework 2.0.50727.5448 (r) / v2.0.50727 (clr) / 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2, 3.5 SP1 (i)
Monitor: (0, 0, 1920, 1080), 32 bpp
Since I upgraded to latest version (shown above) all has been fine but in the last 6 hours (of work time) whenever I open a remote file I get the following error:
Could not establish FTP connection.
Could not connect to the FTP server.
Yet when i click close the file actually opens as normal
Any ideas?

Hi Darren,
The FTP server you're using might still be closing the connection. Keep
alive can't completely prevent this and so the first try might fail.
When that happens, Tools tries again and sounds like it's going through
the second time around.
Let me know if you see this with other FTP servers (at a different
hosting provider), and I can tweak the verboseness of FTP error messages
during retries.
