When I click the x to the right of a file name in a tab the file closes

When I click the disk to the left of the file name in a tab it doesn't save

    Be useful if it did.

      Hi,

Hmm... that's an interesting thought. I'm not sure how practical it
      would be though.

The floppy icon is displayed on a document tab when a document is
modified, as a reminder to save it. I can see how it might be convenient
to be able to click it but I'm not sure how well it'd work long term.
Plus, there are plenty of shortcuts for saving documents: Ctrl+S, save
icon on the Actions Bar, File > Save, document tab right click menu, etc.

I do agree that showing a display-only save icon can be confusing so let
me see if a different icon might fit in better.

      Thank you for your feedback!

My 2 cents worth: You have the asterisk on the tabs that shows when the
document has changed but hasn't been saved. I think that is adequate to
remind people that it needs to be saved. I do think that the floppy
icon on the tab is a bit confusing since that icon is usually used for
        save buttons.
