      Hi,

There are keyboard shortcuts that won't work on all keyboards including
some Alt+ combinations. These can be redefined under "Tools > Keyboard
      shortcuts."

However I'm not aware of any primary shortcuts or keys not working on
French keyboards. Is the ")" key (parentheses) not working for you? Is
it working in other apps? I've never heard this before.

      Chami

I can't use the ")" parentheses key only on html-kit.

On fr keyboard the ")" parentheses key is :
        Normal = )
        +Maj = °
        +Alt Gr = ]

I can use this key on all my applications, (i use it to write to you).

        Notice : I'm on Windows 8

I have some other information :

If i start the application and i use the parentheses key, thats ok, it's work

But if i try to make a "]" (Alt + ")" ), the key are disabled.

I had a look at the shortcuts, but i didn't find anything about this keys.

          Best Regards,

            "(" and ")" are working. Correct ?

            "]" is inserted using "Alt+)" instead of "Shift+)" ?

            You're using HTML-Kit Tools, not HTML-Kit 292 ("Help > About" menu option) ?

              Hi,

              "(" and ")" are working before i try to make a "]"

"]" is inserted using "Alt+)" on FR_fr keyboard
I've try all the "alt +" ( @ for exemple is "alt+0") and all works.

If i create a new document, i can make somes ")" and if i make "Alt + )" to make a "]" the keys ")" are disabled.

I can repeat this if i make a new document.

I'm using HTML-KIT Tools i had just installed yesterday.

PS: Sorry for my poor english i'm french.

                I think i'v found a bug,

The problem is my alt+) to make a "]" is regginized like a Ctrl + "]" by the system. It's look like a modifier key detection error.

Ctrl+[: A document must be open to use this option. ["Select Previous Attribute"]

Where can i change this shortcut ?

Hmm... I'd have to make a new build to turn off that shortcut I'm afraid.

Are you sure that your keyboard is properly detected in Windows 8?
Modifier codes for Alt and Ctrl are handled at operating system level so
I'm not sure why they're mixed up.

Yes, it can be a setting in preferences. I'll look into detecting
keyboard type to suggest the default setting.

If i can make a note, "[" and "]" related shortcut can't be used on French keyboard because you need to make "Ctrl+alt+(" and "Ctr+alt+)", i think the real problem is here.

Could be possible to make the shortcut choosable ?

Yes, it can be a setting in preferences. I'll look into detecting
keyboard type to suggest the default setting.

                  Hi Pierre,

I've just posted a new TreeHouse build (20131101) with additional checks
for key codes. If you'd like to give it a try, you can download it from
                  your User Assistant account.

Let me know if it works any better and thanks again for letting me know
                  about this problem.

I'm sorry but I have the same problem with the TreeHouse build.

Can you disable the shortcuts ctrl+[ and ctrl+] on a TreeHouse build ?
