We have some people using HTML-Kit 292 and one person using HTML-Kit Tools. Those using HTML-Kit 292 continue to have instances where links within their files are getting an extraneoous .BAK extension appended to the pathname.

The HTML-Kit Tools user does not have this issue.

Is there a setting or something that we are doing that will cause this issue?

      Hi,

I'm not aware of a 292 issue that adds a .bak extension. It could just
be that they're selecting a file with *.bak extension without realizing,
for example, when file extensions are hidden in Windows Explorer.

One of the backup options in HTML-Kit 292 is saving copies with .bak
extension, but this isn't related to links and it's not enabled by
default. You could check if "Edit | Preferences | Save | Backup when
saving | With extension" was enabled and turn it off to reduce
inadvertent use of *.bak files for links.

      Hope this helps!
