The following is a list of keyboard shortcuts HTML-Kit Tools defines by default:

Ctrl+K, Ctrl+C Copy selected text to the clipboard with Windows line endings
Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D Duplicate the selected text. If no selection is found, duplicate the current line.
Ctrl+K, Ctrl+E Toggle colorizer item at the caret between default mode and emphasized mode
Ctrl+K, Ctrl+F Toggle folds in the selected block of lines
Ctrl+K, Ctrl+F2 Highlight the selected text. If there is no selection, removes mark at the caret.

How to create a custom keyboard shortcut for a menu option

To create a custom keyboard shortcut for a menu command:

  • Find the command name of the menu option you'd like to map.
  • Select "Tools > Keyboard Shortcuts > Edit" from the main menu.
  • Click "New" followed by "OK" to add a new shortcut. Optionally, enter a title.
  • If the menu command name you'd like to map is "MFileOpen" and the keyboard shortcut you'd like to use is "Ctrl+Shift+Z" edit the shortcut text as follows: #@begin-shortcut "default" [key="Ctrl+Shift+Z", type="command"]
    MFileOpen
    #@end-shortcut "default"
  • Click "OK" to close the editor dialog and save changes.
  • To test the new shortcut, press the assigned key.
